Ante ZIGMAN (HANFA) was elected as member of EIOPA Mediation Panel

Ante Zigman, the President of Management Board from HANFA (Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency) was elected as member of EIOPA Mediation Panel. The Mediation Panel is responsible to mediate and resolve in an impartial manner the disputes between national competent authorities.

EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) is one of the three European authorities that compose ESFS (European System of Financial Supervisors). ESFS is responsible in ensuring an increased level of integration and stability for all banking, securities, insurance and occupational pensions sectors of EU countries.

The Mediation Panel of EIOPA is composed from 7 members: the President of the Panel (which is also the President of EIOPA), two members (one of them being Zigman) and four deputies. The members and deputies of this commission are appointed in their functions for a term of two years, with the possibility of re-election.

"I belive that this appointment is a great recognition not only for HANFA, but also for Croatia, which is recognized as an equal and professional partner at the European level, which can contribute to achieving effective and impartial mediation between national competent bodies, which is crucial for the implementation of high quality joint regulatory and supervisory standards and practices at the EU level" emphasized Zigman.
