Baden-Baden XPRIMM Reception: Who were the winners of the XPRIMM Insurance Awards?

On Sunday, 22 October, insurers and reinsurers from all over the world met at the 9th edition of the Baden-Baden XPRIMM Reception, the traditional event organized by XPRIMM during the Baden-Baden Meetings in Germany.

At the Reception, the XPRIMM INSURANCE AWARD distinction was granted to several companies for the outstanding contribution to the development of the insurance industry. The winners were:
  • SCOR
  • VIENNA Insurance Group - VIG
  • EUROINS Insurance Group
  • Russian National Reinsurance Company - RNRC
  • AZ Re
Moreover, throughout the event, professionals and specialists from the insurance markets had the opportunity to get in touch with specialists from leading reinsurance companies from all over the world, and also to receive more information about the Romanian and CEE, Russia & CIS insurance markets.

The professionals attending Baden-Baden XPRIMM Reception also had the opportunity to be among the first readers of the five new XPRIMM Publications launched at the event, which included XPRIMM Insurance Report - CEE, SEE, CIS - 1H 2017 - the most comprehensive analysis report for over 30 insurance markets - , as well as four new editions of INSURANCE Profile - Romania, Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Baden-Baden XPRIMM Reception 2017, which took place at the Kurhaus Casino, was supported by the Official Partner JLT Re, as well as by the Partners VIENNA Insurance Group - VIG, RNRC - Russian National Reinsurance Company, TRUST Re, EUROINS, CertAsig and NTT Data.

Baden Baden Headlines 3: CEE insurance markets are attractive for reinsurers

Central and Eastern Europe insurance markets are an important source of business for Lloyds, total premium income from this region increasing by EUR 64 million since 2010, pointed out the Lloyd's representative in a seminar dedicated to CEE insurance markets: "We are seeing strong growth from Czech Rep, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine. At the same time are some contractions from Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary due to challenging trading conditions as political implications and other sanctions".
