CZECH Rep.: Jaroslav MLYNAR will become the new CEO of CESKA Pojistovna

Jaroslav MLYNAR will become the new Chief Executive Officer of CESKA Pojistovna (CP), as GENERALI PPF Group (GPH) recently announced. He is replacing Pavel REHAK, who is leaving by his own decision on 31st May 2013, having resigned from all positions and offices.

"I am glad that CESKA Pojistovna will be managed by Jaroslav MLYNAR who has a wide range of experience in top management positions in the Czech insurance industry," said Luciano CIRINA, CEO of GPH and Chairman of the CP Board of Directors.

"With the support of GPH he will take care of maintaining the leadership position and the important heritage of CESKA Pojistovna. I am sure Jaroslav MLYNAR will guarantee a further successful development of the company together with a strongly committed and highly professional management and all our employees. I thank Pavel REHAK for his contribution in the past years, leading CP in a transformation period focused on profitability and leaving the company in good health for the Group to further invest into the development. Jaroslav MLYNAR joined the GENERALI Group in 1992 and participated in the launch of the new GENERALI Czech operation in 1993. In 1998 he became a Board Member of GENERALI Pojistovna and in 2001 Chairman of the Board and CEO of GENERALI's Czech operation. After the establishment of GPH, the CEE holding company of the GENERALI Group, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer.

CESKA Pojistovna is the largest insurer on the Czech insurance market. In 2012, the market share of CESKA Pojistovna totalled 25.9%; in life insurance it was 23.1% and in non-life insurance, 27.9%.
