KAZAKHSTAN: Insurers profit rose by almost 65% in Jan-Feb, and revenues by almost 25%

According to the monitoring service Ranking.kz, profit of Kazakh insurers in January-February, 2019, grew by 64.7% y-o-y, to KZT 12.7 billion. Insurers show positive profit results for the second year in a row since losses in 2017, allinsurance.kz reported.

Revenues of insurers in the period under review increased by 24.8% y-o-y (to KZT 57.1 billion). The major part of the revenues (87.4%) comes from insurance, 11.7% from investment activity, 0.9% from other activities and 0.02% from other income.

Expenses in January-February, 2019, increased by 16.7% y-o-y to KZT 44.3 billion, at a much slower pace than profit.
