LITHUANIA: AIG to close its Vilnius service center after operating for two years
The Vilnius services center, employs around 200 people. In 2015, AIG planned to create around 350 jobs.
"The Vilnius service center's operations have directly contributed to AIG's success in Europe. Our experience of investing in Lithuania, in the labor market of Vilnius, was very positive", said Chris NEWBY, Chief Operating Officer at AIG Europe Limited, quoted by The Baltic Course.
AIG representatives said that the operations will be relocated to other countries of the AIG network by March 2018. At the same time, AIG noted that all employees of the Vilnius center would be offered other employment opportunities.
