Public insurers appoint Achim Bosch to reinsurer board

The supervisory bodies of Deutsche Ruckversicherung AG and the Association of German Public Insurers decided today, to appoint Achim Bosch (53) to the executive board of the two reinsurers, where he will be responsible for non-life reinsurance.

Bosch is coming from General Reinsurance AG in Cologne, where, as a member of the board of executive directors, he has most recently been in charge of non-life contractual reinsurance in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Central and Eastern Europe since 2008. He has also been responsible for facultative business in these markets since 2017.

Bosch will take up his post as Chief Underwriting Officer for Deutsche Ruck and the reinsurance division of the Association of German Public Insurers with effect from January 1, 2019. "We're pleased to have gained an experienced specialist for this influential position in our companies. Mr Bosch has excellent knowledge and his qualifications are an ideal match for the remit we have outlined," said Dr Frank Walthes, Chairman of Deutsche Ruck's Supervisory Board.
