RENOMIA strengthens its position on the Croatian market by acquiring a stake in DPS International

RENOMIA - one of the largest corporate and EB insurance broker in CEE Region announced it has acquired a stake in the Croatian broker DPS International.

DPS International has been the Croatian partner in the franchise network RENOMIA EUROPEAN PARTNERS, which operates in 30 countries across Central and Eastern Europe. This acquisition makes Croatia the seventh country where RENOMIA has direct ownership in an insurance broker.

DPS International was founded in 2003 by Ivan SOVICEK, a leading figure in the Croatian insurance market. Before founding DPS International he was the Chief Executive Officer of ALLIANZ Zagreb. Like RENOMIA, DPS International is a family-owned business, with Igor SOVICEK, the founder's son, holding a director's position. DPS International has branches in the capital city Zagreb and Rijeka. In 2016 DPS became a member of RENOMIA EUROPEAN PARTNERS.

"I am very happy that we have further cemented our partnership with DPS International; it is an honour for us that being partners in our franchised network, Igor and Ivan SOVICEK approached us with the idea of an even tighter partnership. The acquisition of an interest in our Croatian partner means that now we already have our own branches in seven countries of Europe. I believe that a closer cooperation and sharing of know-how will improve the quality of service for our clients in Croatia. I am very much looking forward to working even closer together," Jirina NEPALOVA, Founder and CEO RENOMIA, commented on the acquisition.

DPS International will operate under the new brand DPS RENOMIA. To ensure the continuity of success and growth, the present executive management will be actively involved in the future development of the company.

"I am pleased to have joined forces with such a prominent international player as RENOMIA. When deciding to sell a part of our company, we were impressed by RENOMIA's strong client-oriented culture and its specialized teams with broad international know-how and background. Last but not least, it is important to us that our RENOMIA colleagues share the same values: teamwork and client service excellence," noted Ivan SOVICEK, the Founder of DPS International, upon signing the agreement.
