STATISTICS: UZBEKISTAN, 3Q2016: Voluntary policies increased by 45.27%

In 3Q2016 the GWP increased by 34.75%, up to a total of UZS 500.12 billion (EUR 148 million), while total claims paid amounted to UZS 94.4 billion (EUR 28 million), 30.55% more than in January-September 2015.

By types of insurances, the share of voluntary policies increased to 68.85% (up by 45.27%), while the mandatory classes accounted 31.15% (up by 16.16%).

"A growth of voluntary insurance share in total premiums shows that insurance companies have stepped up their activity on voluntary types of insurance, which is a good result, proving that the market grew without the assistance of the compulsory insurance classes," the Information-Rating Agency SAIPRO stressed out.

In Uzbekistan are active 26 insurance companies.
