TRUST Re Appoints Talal Al ZAIN as Group CEO

Bahrain based TRUST International Insurance & Reinsurance Company announced the appointment of Mr. Talal Al ZAIN as Group Chief Executive Officer.

Talal Al ZAIN brings with him broad regional and international experience from the US, Europe and the MENA region having held senior executive positions in the fields of banking and investment.

Most recently, Talal was Founder and Director of Jisr Capital. Previously he was Chief Executive Officer of PineBridge Investments Middle East BSC (C) and Co-Head of Alternative Investments at PineBridge Investments. Prior to that he was a founding board member and the CEO of Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, managing over USD 10 billion of assets.

Al ZAIN spent 18 years with Investcorp Bank as Managing Director and Co-Head of Placement & Relationship Management. Prior to that he was Vice President of Private Banking international and Head of Investment Banking Middle East and Pakistan with Chase Manhattan Bank. Before that he was a member of Citibank Banking Group.

Outgoing CEO Fadi ABUNAHL had led TRUST Re for 12 years since 2006 and had been with the group for over 20 years. The years under Fadi's leadership were characterized by diversification in classes of business and consistent investment in human capital, reflective of his drive and persistent efforts towards innovation and growth. Fadi will be moving to Cyprus to take a leading role at Nest Investments Holdings.
