UKRAINE: GWP of VUSO increased by 45% in 2018

GWP of VUSO insurance company increased by 45% to UAH 724.9 million, and paid claims rose by 24%, to UAH 197.44 million in 2018.

For the first 3 quarters of 2018, the company ranked 15th on the market in terms of GWP and 16th in terms of paid claims from 285 insurance companies, operating as of September, 9th 2018, according to the National Financial Services Commission.

In 2018, the company's most popular insurance types were Motor Hull (UAH 183.58 million, +53.97%), MTPL (UAH 159.44 million, +32.56%) and voluntary health insurance (UAH 45.71 million, +17.93%). These same types took the largest shares in the insurer's paid claims. Under Motor Hull contracts the company paid UAH 74 million (+25.67%), under MTPL UAH 61.16 million (+8.13%) and under voluntary health insurance UAH 17.79 million (+8.13%).

The company's assets as of December 31st 2018, amounted to UAH 412.9 million. According to Andrei ARTYUKHOV, Chairman of the Board, the insurer is developing online MTPL and travel insurance sales, and also plans to develop online health insurance, Forinsurer reports.
