UKRAINE: TAS insurance group saw a 36.9% y-o-y premiums increase in the first 5 months of 2018

TAS insurance group, included in TOP-10 of Ukraine, for 5 months this year generated premiums in the amount of UAH 524.82 million, which is 36.9% more than for the same period last year, says the group's report.

According to the insurance portal Forinsurer, in the group's premium portfolio for January-May 34.4% were generated by MTPL (+69.8%), 21.6% is the share of Green Card (+18.4%) and 15.91% is the share of Motor Hull (+66.8%). Voluntary health insurance premiums of TAS grew by 45.4% compared to the same period of 2017; property class of the group contributed UAH 20.65 million.

Paid claims of TAS from January to May increased by UAH 42.2 million y-o-y. In general, for 5 months 2018 TAS paid UAH 206.04 million, from that UAH 23.66 million the group paid in voluntary health insurance, UAH 1.66 million - in property insurance. MTPL paid claims amounted to 37.23% of the total TAS claims (+63.9%). Claims share of Green Card is 25.34% (+28.5%).
