According to the Motor Transport Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU), for the first 9 months of this year, the total number of Green Card policies increased by 43.2% y-o-y and reached almost 842 thousand units, Forinsurer reports.

Green Card GWP grew by 31.6% y-o-y for the period and amounted to UAH 1.3 billion (~EUR 49.34 million). Under the claims of foreign insurers, Ukrainian insurance companies - full members of MTIBU - paid approximately EUR 11.2 billion (+32.1% y-o-y) in compensations. At the same time, the total number of claims paid increased by 10.5% when compared to the same period of 2018.

The leaders of the segment in terms of GWP for the first 9 months of 2019 were Ukrainian Ins. Group & GLOBUS, TAS, INGO Ukraine, KNIAZHA and ORANTA.
