UKRAINE: largest number of accidents under Ukrainian Green Card registered in Poland

From January to June 2019, international Green Card bureaus paid EUR 783 thousand for losses in Ukraine, caused by drivers with foreign Green Card policies, Forinsurer reports.

The total number of claims reached 900 units. The largest number of accidents was caused by vehicle owners from Poland (33%), Lithuania (23%), Czech Republic (6%), Belarus (5.3%) and Slovakia (4.9%).

On the other hand, the total number of accidents caused by owners of Ukrainian Green Card policies in the territory of the Green Card member countries, amounted to 1 697 (-8% y-o-y), for the first half of 2019. The largest number of accidents was registered in Poland (36.5%), Russia (16.5%), Germany (10.8%), Italy (5.6%) and Czech Republic (5.1%).

During the period, total number of Green Card policies in Ukraine increased by 48% y-o-y. GWP in the segment grew by 37.5%.
