VIG Re has new Chief Underwriting Officer and head of CEE market

After opening new branch offices in Frankfurt and Paris, VIG Re announced organizational changes. Olaf DIETRICH will be the new Chief Underwriting Officer, leading the newly formed Corporate Underwriting Department, while Petr STEPAN will head the new CEE market department.

DIETRICH, currently head of non-life underwriting, will assume his role as Chief Underwriting Officer, leading the newly formed Corporate Underwriting Department. He will ensure adherence to VIG Re's underwriting guidelines and be responsible for portfolio management. DIETRICH will also remain in charge of incoming Accident & Health claims, Facultative acceptances and reinsurance business assumed from VIG Re partners in Japan and South Korea.

STEPAN will head the new Central & Eastern Europe market department, responsible for business originating from the extended CEE region, including Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and CIS counties, both VIG and third-party business. STEPAN's previous role was as Senior Underwriter for the company.

Third-party P&C treaty business originating in German speaking markets continues to be underwritten by the German branch of the company, headed by Fabian CHRISTOPH. Western & Southern Europe will continue to be headed by Patrick CHEVREL, of the French branch. VIG Re's life clients from Prague will continue to be led by the enhanced life market team under the leadership of Katarzyna GALAN.
