Bosnia and Herzegovina: In January-May the Federation insurance market goes up 8.6%

In January-May 2023 total GWP of insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation increased 8.6% to BAM 272.7 million (EUR 139.4 million), SeeNews reports referring to official data.

Non-life business expanded 10.3% y-o-y to BAM 214.8 million in the January-May period, while life insurance market increased by 2.6% to BAM 57.9 million, as figures published by the Federation's insurance supervision agency show.

ASA Central Osiguranje headed the non-life segment with GWP worth BAM 37 million in the first five months (vs BAM 16.7 million a year earlier), followed by Adriatic Osiguranje and Euroherc Osiguranje, with BAM 30.8 million and BAM 27 million, respectively.

On the life insurance side, Sarajevo-based Vienna Osiguranje ranked first with BAM 13.8 million in January-May (vs BAM 10.5 million in the same period of 2022), followed by Grawe Osiguranje and Uniqa Osiguranje, with BAM 13.5 million and BAM 12.3 million, respectively.
