Bosnia and Herzegovina: in January-August the market growth reached 8.7%

From January to August 2022, GWP of insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation increased by 8.7% y-o-y to BAM 411.5 million (EUR 210.4 million), SeeNews informed according to the official data.

Non-life expanded by 7% to BAM 321.7 million in the first eight months of the year, while life insurance rose 15.1% to BAM 89.8 million, according to the data published by the Federation's insurance supervision agency.

The leader of the non-life segment in terms of GWP is Adriatic Osiguranje (BAM 44.6 million), followed by Sarajevo Osiguranje and Euroherc Osiguranje, with BAM 41.4 million and BAM 40.3 million, respectively.

The life insurance segment is headed by Sarajevo-based Grawe Osiguranje with BAM 20.9 million in January-August, followed by Uniqa Osiguranje and Vienna Osiguranje, with BAM 19.4 million and BAM 19 million, respectively.

At the end of August, 20 insurance companies operated in Bosnia's Federation.
